Education Coordinator – Naomi Said
Naomi has been an active member of the MHSA (Malta Health Student Association) for the past two years and was elected last year to form part of the Executive Committee and occupy the post of KPS Officer. In the past, during her years as a Junior College Student, she also formed part of the Equal Opportunities Committee and was actively involved in SDM-JC activities.
Organised and motivated, Naomi believes her experience in these groups has helped her understand the importance of teamwork. This in turn, will help in her aim at ensuring an adequate learning environment for students on campus, while maintaining and strengthening the close relationship the KSU has built up with the student body over the past years.
Education Commissioner – John Gabarretta
John is currently in his final year and will be graduating in BSc. (Hons.) Chemistry with Materials this coming December. He has contributed to four issues of the society’s magazine In Touch as editor. He is also currently a Student Representative on the Board of the Faculty of Science.
As KSU Education Commissioner, John will chair the KSU Education Commission which gathers all student representatives from all faculties and institutes. He aims to continue building on the hard work of previous commissioners to broaden the reach as well as relevance of the commission. He also intends to work hard to build bridges with post-graduates and student organisations to further the commission’s work towards better student education.
